ISO Certifications for ITM Poland

ITM Poland has successfully completed the certification process for ISO 14001:2004, and recertification for ISO 9001:2008. With this, ITM Poland has anchored its quality and environmental responsibility towards itself, its customers and the local community.

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

ITM Poland received the ISO 9001 certification already in 2000. Since then, the company maintained its activity in accordance with international quality management practices, which was reflected in recertification. The ISO 14001 was granted to ITM last month.

Environmental Management System

Since environmental management is no longer a distinct asset for companies, but a worldwide demand for doing business, ISO 14001:2004 certification benefits both the internal organisation and customers. By having a systematic and integrated approach for environmental management in place, the Environmental Management System (EMS) is allowed to become part of the structure of the organisation's business. Since the EMS requests increasing competitiveness, and profits by means of potential process improvements and energy conservation, this involvement benefits both ITM and its customers. In January 2010 the Board of ITM Poland decided to implement the EMS within the company in order to achieve the ISO 14001 standard by the end of the year. Over the past year, ITM Poland has observed all its activities, services and physical resources in order to register all environmental aspects. Following the outcome, ITM has determined and implemented objective and measurable targets for a new environmental policy. And all staff is trained to perform in accordance with ITM Poland’s new Environmental Management System.
